A bitter dispute pitted Rama against Ontario’s other 133 Indian Act bands, who argued the casino was meant to benefit all the First Nations. Nine years and millions of dollars in legal fees. The Casino Rama Resort is situated in Ontario, Canada and is perhaps the largest First Nation’s casino and resort in Canada. It is also the most famous of Canadian land casinos, built on reservation lands of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation. It is one of 17 First Nation casinos in the country while being one of four (4) First Nation resort.

Rama is a First Nations community on the Chippewas of Rama First Nation reserve in Ontario, Canada. It is the home of Casino Rama.
The community sports complex is called the Mnjikaning Arena Sports Ki, which was the home arena of the Couchiching Terriersice hockey team, once affiliated with the Barrie Colts. The Rama Kings lacrosse team also plays at the MASK.
The Ontario Provincial Police provides dispatching services for the community, but the officers who police the town of Rama are members of the Rama Police Service (formerly the Mnjikaning Police Service).
